Pranay & Madison

Venues: The Biscayne Lady Yacht and the Biltmore Hotel, Miami, FL

Concept: Create a luxury wedding that gives guests a unique Miami experience. This wedding was planned for an active-military couple by the groom’s parents who had recently moved to Miami. Since most of the guest list, including the couple, would be traveling to Miami, our plan was to offer them a bit of what the city is known for. The family wanted a dominant and regal “Lantern” theme throughout the events. The Sangeet was therefore held aboard The Biscayne Lady, a private yacht, where guests were treated to a cruise around Biscayne Bay with views of the impressive downtown Skyline at sunset. The decor was custom designed to to emulate the waves and water and crystal curtains covered the walls on the main floor. The next day saw the baraat and ceremony at the historic Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables. The ceremony was set outdoors in the courtyard next to the fountain under European styled arches. The mandap design was chosen to play off of the surrounding architecture. Pearls and fresh flowers added to the royal Indian theme preferred by the family. The ceremony was followed by a South Indian lunch complete with banana leaf decor and fresh coconut drinks.

Cocktail hour took place on the Biltmore terrace at sunset overlooking the golf course and the reception was held in the Granada ballroom. The decor centered around the recurring theme of lanterns and pearls, and the lighting was intentionally set to highlight the dramatic architecture of the room. To keep the flow interesting, we used a variety of round and rectangular tables and three types of centerpieces. An adjoining room was made into a bar lounge with a centerpiece of an ice luge and moody blue and purple lighting.
